There are a lot of queer people in unsafe states, but there are safe(r) states in the US. Many queer folks have expressed a desire to move to a new state that has protections in place for trans and queer folks.
In the movie Doctor Dolittle, there is a creature called a Pushmi-Pullyu.
I want to assist in “pushing” queer folks in unsafe locations to safer spaces, with the assistance of people who can “pull” you in.
Queer friends losing legal protections within your current state, you deserve a safer and more affirming environment. There are a whole lot of folks already in those locations! If you’d like to explore relocation, the map below has the location and contact info for volunteers who can help you learn more about their city and state. Do you need a push?
I am asking folks in safe(r) states to fill out the form to match up with queer folks who want to explore relocating. It is a lot of work to find affirming medical and mental healthcare, schools, housing, and more. But folks in those areas probably know a lot of that information already! Share the knowledge and gain new friends and potential neighbors with a simple pull!
Let’s stop talking about relocating and start exploring!
I am not offering help for folks who want to move out of the country. There are way too many tricky laws around emigration and the ability to leave is a privilege for those who can afford it, which does not include many of the people who will be affected by upcoming draconian policies and laws.
If you want to explore relocation, or assisting with relocation, the forms are below.
